I am a Registered Social Worker supporting youth age 12 and up, adults, individuals, and couples. I take a holistic, trauma-informed, client-centred, and inclusive approach to therapy, grounded in compassion and collaboration. I believe our emotional well-being is connected to the many parts of who we are, and that meaningful change can come from understanding ourselves more deeply, reconnecting with what matters to us, and finding greater balance in our lives.
I have a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma or who are feeling stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Trauma can affect the way we experience our emotions, relationships, bodies, and sense of safety, often in ways that are difficult to put into words. In therapy, I aim to create a space where we can slow things down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and explore ways of moving forward that feel safe, manageable, and meaningful.
Our work together is collaborative and shaped around your individual needs, experiences, and goals. Depending on what feels most helpful, I draw from approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Polyvagal-informed work, and somatic approaches. I am also a certified Reiki practitioner and trauma-informed yoga teacher, which have strengthened my understanding of the connection between the mind, body, nervous system, and emotional well-being.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bishop’s University, a diploma in Behavioural Science from St. Lawrence College, and a Master of Social Work from Carleton University. I have also completed a Trauma Certificate through Wilfrid Laurier University and continue to pursue training in trauma, relationships, emotional well-being, and body-based approaches to healing.
Therapy does not need to be about becoming a different version of yourself. It can be a place to better understand what you have been carrying, reconnect with your own strengths and values, and create a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with what matters to you. My goal is to offer a warm and compassionate space where you feel supported as we navigate that process together.
