I’ve spent my career years of 20 years working with complex youth and adolescents, including those with autism, ADHD and Anxiety disorders. My work focuses on supporting emotion regulation, social development, and executive functioning using practical, strengths-based strategies that actually make a difference in everyday life.

I work from a developmental, neuro-affirming lens, recognizing that behaviour is communication and that emotional regulation, executive functioning and self identity play a central role in how teens experience the world. My approach blends relational care with evidence-informed
behavioural frameworks and building cognitive flexibility to support meaningful growth and values-based living.

I believe change happens through connection. I aim to create a structured, supportive environment that promotes safety, regulation, and skill development. I draw on many different approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and behavioural science to help teens move towards what matters most to them.

Outside of session, I’m someone who really values connection and simple things. Things like hanging out with my kids, walking my little dog Sue or going out for breakfast with my husband make me happy! Music and the arts are another big love of mine and try to get out to see as many live shows as I can! Listening to and talking about music and art is one of my favorite ways to connect with teens! Summer is my favourite because I love being by the lake, watching the swans and otters, kayaking or having bonfires as the sun sets. Theres something so soothing about being by the water.

When you come to see me at Island park Therapy, you’ll almost always find me with a coffee in hand, a pen tucked into my hair and a plethora of fidgets, creative materials, whiteboards, visual supports, and sometimes even snacks in our session space! I can’t wait to get to know you!
